Dickinson Power Switch

Registration for Dickinson Power Switch has closed. Check back in July to register for the next round.

Your electric bill may be one of your the biggest monthly bills, especially in the hot summer months. A lower fixed rate can help lower your bills year round. The City of Dickinson is committed to help you save on your electric bills, which is why we launched the Dickinson Power Switch.

We will form a group together with many other Dickinson residents and organize an electricity auction among electricity providers. This unique kind of program was run in other Texas cities last year, and resulted in an average yearly saving of $368 per household. As the City of Dickinson, we also want to offer our residents the possibility to save money on their electric bills.

We will organize a reverse auction among electric providers for the lowest rates, and will send every registrant for the program a Personal Offer after the auction. After you receive your Personal Offer, it is completely up to you to decide if you want to accept it or not. There is no obligation.

Please note: Households in areas served by a member-owned electricity cooperative or a municipal-owned utility are not eligible to participate.
